I was listening to Danish Radio (DR) P2 in the bath last week when I
heard a very strange track. It contained the words (something like):
'If you wait a little longer than you normally would ... something
most amazing may occur' starting with one word 'If' then two words 'If
you' then three 'If you wait' then 'If you wait a little' and so on.
It could be somebody 'experimental' like Philip Glass. I have tried
Google with no success. Any ideas?

Can you remember the tune? I remember many decades ago there was
something called something like the "Birmingham hum line", which you
rang up (I told you it was a while ago!) and hummed a tune, and (I think
a human!) told you what it was. (I never used it, so I've no idea how
good it was.) I think I've seen mention of something recently -
presumably more automated! - that will go.

On purely lyrics, I think there are similar - maybe try googling things
like "lyric finder" or similar, rather than the actual lyrics. I know
there are sites (lots of them) with lyrics, so I'd be surprised if there
aren't ones that do what you want (maybe "identifier" rather than
"finder").

Or you could just email Danish Radio (-:

Thanks for the splendid suggestion. Now found it by searching a

Glad you found it! I presume you've found the record too, but if not:

(P) 2016, apparently, though that could be a reissue date - recordings
on YouTube irritatingly frequently don't give the recording date, only
that of a record that's been re-issued to capitalise on back-catalogue.

(Not my kind of music! But each to his own. Sounds like a very
multinational production - looking at the surnames, I'd say Polish,
Finnish, British/American, Dutch/Afrikaans, German, and Spanish, at
least!)

" ... but ... on the sub-ether radio, [it said] you're dead!"
"Yeah, that's right, I just haven't stopped moving yet." (link episode)

I think it was 2016 from iTunes.

It may not be mine either! It was just so bizarre when I heard it in
the bath on Danish radio that I was curious to hear more of it.

Did you record part of it? If you did, then anyone with an Iphone could use
Shazam on it, but you might be no wiser as there do seem to be people around
I've never heard of a lot these days.

No I didn't because I was in the bath at the time and did not know
what to expect. I think DR offers a playlist but I don't know (yet)
if there is listen again. Problem is that I'm not even sure what
night it was. I think I'll send them an email.

If you can find an email. I've noticed an issue with many companies of late
where, not satisfied at having no telephone, they now don't have an email,
so you fill in their contact us and none of the choices of subject apply to
your question and when the reply comes it says something like thank you blah
blah, we aim to respond withing x days, and it comes from an email with
noreply in it.

So its a case of we know your email, and you are not allowed to know ours.

I suspect this is linked to the way that if you are on a mobile device,
the odds are you don't have a working e-mail program.

An increasing number of websites no longer support https, which worries
me. I may have to start accessing them via a VPN. I already use what
appears to be a very good security suite and firewall.
