Which of the channels would you prefer they switch off for 2½ hours?

And what would it achieve?

Unfortunately, we seem to have now fully gone down the old fill up the hours
way of broadcasting. When we had good local radio, and test cards all day,
I was somehow better informed about news and less tolerant of cheap rubbish
than now. We have shorter attention spans and rely on everything being
repeated all the time or on demand via the internet.
Do we actually have to use our brains any more?

I do agree that the bbc should be focussed on what other channels find it
hard to do. True local radio, in Depth unbiased explanations of things, and
more science and less voyeurism content.
